Pastor Phil works part-time for Cornerstone and full-time as a public school teacher. Having been trained not as a preacher but as a teacher, Pastor Phil is able to look at discipleship in a very unique way. His classroom experience allows him to see the limitations of “classroom discipleship” and understand the need for Christians to grow in community by living life together.
Pastor Phil has been on staff since 2006 and served as our middle-school pastor until 2013. Currently, he oversees Cornerstone University along with several other behind-the-scenes projects.
He and his wife Kaitlyn have been married for fourteen years, and they have two wonderful daughters, Emma Rae and Nora.
