Suburban Myths – Success

What’s a “suburban myth”? How does it relate to an “urban myth”? Well, for starters, it commutes to work. Bad jokes aside, suburban myths are the lies we tell ourselves about life and what it’s all about. This week, we’ll be examining the myth of success.
Why do we insist in telling our kids, ‘Go to school. Get good grades. Go to college. Get good grades. Get a job. Get married. Have kids. Make them go to school and get good grades….’? What’s the point of such a philosophy? Shouldn’t Christians have a different perspective?
